300in6 in seminar on health

In the seminar “Healthier water, Healthier people” Urs Heierli explained the 300in6 initiative. Representatives of organisations as WHO,UNICEF and many others discussed in this approaches on how to improve water quality.

    New Household Water Treatment (HWT) and safe storage solutions make safe drinking water affordable, even for the poorest. In business-as-usual scenarios the number of people using new HWTs will increase from 40 million in 2009, to 150 million in 2015. We now aim at 300 million people in the same six years. Our inclusive approach is based on sustainable enterprise and enabled by smart regulation and procurement policies in public, private and civil society sectors.
